The Worldwide Airfields & Airports Data Resource has been designed to operate both as a 'stand alone' reference program and as a data resource which automatically integrates with FlightLog Professional / Recreational. It contains nearly 10,000 airfield and airport records.
This program provides information on ICAO (and some IATA) identifiers, airfield name, latitude, longitude and elevation for each airfield record it contains. The latitude and longitude information is particularly useful within FlightLog logbooks but neither FlightLog Professional or FlightLog Recreational actually need to be installed on the computer in use.
When automatically integrated with FlightLog Professional or FlightLog Recreational, any airfield record can be quickly found by the rapid search method and imported directly into FlightLog Professional's or FlightLog Recreational's Airfield & Airport support database with the click of a mouse. This design allows for the user to have only the airfield records they actually need within their copy of FlightLog Professional or FlightLog Recreational - preventing the demanding overhead of a huge number of airfield records, most of which will never be used ... but at the same time having access to this large data resource when an airfield is required ... all only a mouse click away.
Simply download the program installer to any suitable location on your hard disk drive, then either double click on it from within Windows Explorer or preferably use the Start Menu / Run option. The program installer will automatically place an icon on your desktop and in your start menu, from where it may be run in future. If you use FlightLog Professional (versions 4.21 or higher), then automatic integration of the Worldwide Airfield & Airport Data Resource will occur and it will be available whenever you need it. Please note that FlightLog Professional versions 4.21 to 5.31 inclusive require version 1.xx of this program but from FlightLog Professional version 6.0.1.1, version 2.xxx of this program MUST be used to allow automatic integration. FlightLog Recreational (ANY version) uses version 2.xxx of this program.
