Support Utilities
1.  FlightLog Professional (versions 6.0.1.1 and higher)
or FlightLog Recreational (ANY version)
(Spatial Database)
This file is essential for the correct operation of the Route Mapping feature found within FlightLog Professional & FlightLog Recreational. It is always included within a typical installation of FlightLog Professional or FlightLog Recreational but the most recent version, if the program should ever prompt for its location, may be downloaded from the button link below. Should the spatial database be updated in the future, then the normal process for a user to obtain this data file is by the FlightLog Professional & FlightLog Recreational automatic updates ** facility. Basically, if FlightLog Professional / Recreational does not prompt for this file and you are not automatically informed of any pending updates, then you do not need to download it here.

If the spatial database file is required then simply download it into the FlightLog Professional / Recreational data folder on your computer hard disk drive, for a typical installation this will be C:\Program Files\FlightLog Pro\Data or C:\Program Files\FlightLog Rec\Data respectively.
Windows Vista™ users please note that this operating system will not normally allow you to download a file from the internet directly into the Program Files folder (or its subfolders). It is suggested that you first download mapdata.sdb into your nominated user downloads folder, then copy & paste it using your administrative privelege into the correct folder as stated above. Windows Vista can typically appear to download a file directly into Program Files (or a subfolder), actually fail to do so and also fail to inform you of that fact !

** Please note : If you originally installed FlightLog Professional version 6.0.1.1 to 6.5.4.1 inclusive or FlightLog Recreational version 1.0.1.1 to 1.0.3.1 inclusive, then any updated spatial database file (mapdata.sdb) has to be obtained from this page. It is only after an original installation from FlightLog Professional 6.5.5.1 onwards or from FlightLog Recreational 1.0.4.1 onwards, that the spatial database is automatically updated alongside the main program updates.

2. FlightLog Professional
(Time Category Cross Checking Utility)
This utility has been designed to determine if your FlightLog Professional data has at some stage been inadvertently edited so that the sum of the individual time categories no longer equals the actual blocktime. If this is the case with any record, then its reference ID will be displayed so that it can be correctly edited. This utility is not relevant to FlightLog Recreational.

Simply download the utility to any suitable location on your hard disk drive, then either double click on it from within Windows Explorer or use the Start Menu / Run option.

Please follow the program instructions carefully.

3. FlightLog Professional
(Multi Pilot / IFR / Long Haul Update Utility)
This utility has been designed to allow rapid updating of multi pilot operation / IFR / Long Haul operation based on aircraft type for those users who already have a large amount of FlightLog Professional data accumulated from the time before these criteria were incorporated into FlightLog Professional. The utility alleviates the requirement for multiple individual record editing, although in some specific cases, individual record editing will undoubtedly still be necessary. This utility is not relevant to FlightLog Recreational.

Simply download the utility to any suitable location on your hard disk drive, then either double click on it from within Windows Explorer or use the Start Menu / Run option.

Please follow the program instructions carefully.

4. FlightLog Professional
(Multi User, Data Folder Selector Utility)
applies only to FlightLog Professional versions upto and including 5.31
This utility has been designed to allow multiple users of FlightLog Professional on a single personal computer. In order to achieve this, each user of the personal computer MUST have a copy of FlightLog Professional installed specifically through their own Windows™User Account. Each of these installations MUST BE INSTALLED TO A UNIQUE FOLDER LOCATION eg. :

User Account : TOM could have FlightLog Professional installed to 'C:\Program Files\FlightLog Pro (TOM)' with its data folder automatically occurring one level below.

User Account : DICK could have FlightLog Professional installed to 'C:\Program Files\FlightLog Pro (DICK)' with its data folder automatically occurring one level below.

User Account : HARRY could have FlightLog Professional installed to 'C:\Program Files\FlightLog Pro (HARRY)' with its data folder automatically occurring one level below.

... and so on for as many users of the personal computer as required.

This utility can then be used to select the easily identifiable, correct user flight data folder appropriate to the current user logged on at the time.

Simply download the archived utility to any suitable location on your hard disk drive, then either double click on it from within Windows Explorer or use the Start Menu / Run option. Extract the utility, preferably to the folder as displayed , also allowing the run after extraction option. The program will automatically place an icon on your desktop from where it may be run in the future for each user change. This utility has no relevance to FlightLog Recreational.

Please follow the program instructions very carefully.

IMPORTANT NOTE : This utility should be used to locate the correct user data folder before that user runs FlightLog Professional. By its nature this utility will allow access to any FlightLog Professional database on the personal computer on which it is installed ie. it is NOT secure. No responsibility can be accepted for the inadvertent or malicious manipulation of a user's data by another user. It is possible to make individual folders private under Windows XP™ but only if the hard disk drive is formatted with NTFS and not by FAT32. More on this issue can be found in your Windows™ operating system help files.
